On Monday 8 March, 2021 at 7.30 pm the Broken Hill Historical Society (BHHSoc) is holding its Annual General Meeting.
The Society is delighted to be joined by Dr Kate Gahan, historian and Broken Hill’s Museum Advisor, as its guest speaker that night.
Kate’s presentation is titled ‘Stuck on Regional History’ and she will speak about her journey ‘to and through’ regional history. Kate, who has worked as a professional historian for well over two decades, will share why she is especially dedicated to regional history and why she thinks we need to broaden how we tell it, so that we derive greater benefit from our efforts to preserve it.
Who is welcome to come to the meeting?
Everyone! You don’t have to be a member of the Society to come along.
Where is the meeting?
Because of Covid-safe regulations, BHHSoc is still holding general meetings at the Musician’s Club. You will need to follow social distancing and remaining seated protocols once entering. When you arrive at the foyer, you will find directions to the booked meeting room.
If you wish to attend on the 8 March, you MUST book a seat with our Secretary, Helen Daly, via call/text to 0412 676 302 or email at Helen-Daly@bigpond.com
