The Under the Silver Tree Bookshop is holding a fascinating Non-Fiction Writing Competition (prizes up to $1500) with a strong local history theme: this time focusing on writing a story of someone’s life (can include a family member or friend) who spent a significant part of their life in the Western Region.
To quote the Bookshop’s publicity about the competition: ” … heritage is not just buildings and the lives of the famous, but the lives of families and workers who have built this city and district and given it its character.”
It’s a wonderful competition for history buffs who love and value the history of local people and want to share it.
The closing date is 1 August 2022.
Further information about how to enter can be found at the Bookshop’s website: https://www.underthesilvertree.com/
