REMINDER; SOCIETY ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)
The next Annual General Meeting (AGM), along with the usual General Meeting, of the Broken Hill Historical Society (BHHSoc) is being held on Monday 13th March at 7 pm, at the Ralph Wallace meeting Room, back of the Synagogue Museum, 165 Wolfram Street. At the AGM all current positions are declared vacant.
As most of you know, the Society has a huge remit: it runs four of the region’s museums.
While the AGM is essentially for members (only they can vote, nominate and stand for positions), anyone from the community can come along and find out about the Society’s doings.
It’s a good time to think about becoming a member, or a volunteer, meet the current museum coordinators and other members and volunteers.
The AGM confirms minutes, take reports from the committee on the Society’s activities in the year before, elects office bearers for the next year, and confirms financial reports.
Office bearers include the Executive, the Museum Coordinators, and additional positions: For example, President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary/Public Officer; Coordinators Mosque Museum, Silverton Gaol Museum, Silverton School Museum, Synagogue of the Outback Museum; Publicity/Media Officer, and Journal Editor.
