Next meeting Sept 9: Special guest speaker on ‘Silverton and its people’

Broken Hill Historical Society (BHHSoc) is holding its next meeting on Monday 9th September at 7pm.

We’re lucky to have Marlene Bettes as guest speaker on Silverton and the families who have made up its townspeople over the years.

Marlene is in a unique position as, first, the Coordinator of the Silverton School Educational Museum (run by BHHSoc) and secondly as a long-term member of the Broken Hill Family History Group.

So, if you have questions about Silverton and its families, this is a great time to do some finding out.

You can begin by checking out the Society’s page on this site or the Broken Hill City Council’s page under Outback Museums.

Everyone is very welcome to come next Monday night, whether visitor, community member and/or Society member. We meet in the Ralph Wallace Centre at the back of the Synagogue of the Outback complex, 165 Wolfram Street.

PS: Coffee and tea will be on tap!

We hope to see you there!
